Karen M. Robbins

Welcome to my 4th grade classroom at USC!

My name is Karen Robbins. I have been teaching in this district for over 25 years. Wow! I have lived in Wells all my life, with the exception of my college education years.

My husband, Gary, and I have two wonderful children, Scott and Kellie.

Our son, Scott and his wife Olivia, live in Eau Claire. Scott is working for the Scheels corporatation and Olivia is working for Herbelife and persuing her masters degree.

Kellie is living in North Mankato. She is attending MNSU persuing a degree in nursing. She also works part time for Scheels, and can usually be found behind the customer service counter.

I also have two step-children. Tracy and her husband, Ned, live in Waverly, Iowa, with their two children, Liz and Andrew. Sara and her husband, Kevin, live in Shakopee with their three children, Noah, Mia, and Emma.

Although I like to read, sew, paint, and do crafts, spending time with my family is my favorite hobby!

I received my undergraduate teaching degree from Mankato State University and my Masters in Education from St. Mary's University, where I spent a great deal of time researching and implementing reading strategies. Once again, I am very excited to implement our math series this year and look forward to using our classroom interactive white board and responders.

The best part of teaching is seeing the 'light-bulb' turn on in a child who has just mastered a new concept. It's that light that brings me back to the classroom everyday with a smile on my face!
